I have worked at Lapis Care for nearly 3 years. My experience has been highly positive and I feel if you want to work in domiciliary care this is the place to be. They have worked hard to produce a robust and informative induction package so staff feel welcomed and supported. Benefits include contracted hours so you get paid per shift not per client. You are positively encouraged to develop professionally, with support through NVQ level 2 and 3 available. Lapis is owned and managed by two nurses whose vision right from the start has been to change the face of domiciliary care and provide the best service. We get to know our clients really well and everything is person centred. On a Friday the management get in their cars and deliver fish and chips to any client that wants them. They are also prepared to roll up their sleeves and muck in if needed.

I have been so fortunate to have been able to witness how Lapis has blossomed from when I first started to now! Lapis is not just any old care agency in my opinion, they are the epitome of the word CARE agency, as they lead by example, they’re constantly thinking outside of the box on many things and they genuinely do care about both staff and clients!
